Residential Snow Removal

Winter snow clearing services for residential driveways, walkways, and property access points in select sectors.

Montreal receives an average of 210 centimeters of snow per winter, making reliable snow removal essential for safety and daily life. Our snow removal service operates on a seasonal contract basis from November through April, covering residential driveways, walkways, and building access points. For residential properties, we clear driveways and walkways within hours of a snowfall event exceeding the trigger amount specified in your contract -- typically 5 centimeters. We use truck-mounted plows for driveways and hand shoveling or snow blowers for walkways, stairs, and areas near the foundation where plow contact could cause damage. De-icing salt or alternative products like calcium chloride and sand mix are applied to walkways and steps after clearing to prevent ice formation. Our equipment includes pickup trucks with plow blades, compact loaders for tight lots, and salt spreaders for efficient de-icing coverage. All our operators are experienced with Montreal winter conditions and know how to clear efficiently without damaging paver surfaces, lawn edges, or landscape features. We mark driveway edges, garden bed borders, and other vulnerable features with reflective stakes before the season begins so operators can see boundaries in low-visibility conditions. Contracts include unlimited visits for the season, so you are covered regardless of how many storms occur.

FAQ for this service

How does a seasonal snow removal contract work?

You pay a fixed price for the entire winter season, typically November through April. This covers unlimited clearing visits triggered by snowfalls exceeding the amount specified in your contract (usually 5 cm). The fixed rate protects you from unexpected costs during heavy-snow winters. We sign contracts in the fall on a first-come, first-served basis for each service area.

How quickly do you clear snow after a storm?

For residential clients, we aim to complete clearing within 12 hours after a snowfall ends. During major storms, our crews operate around the clock, working through residential routes systematically.

Will snow removal damage my interlock driveway or lawn edges?

We take precautions to protect your property. Before the season, we install reflective marker stakes at driveway edges, garden bed borders, and any landscape features. Our plow operators lift the blade slightly on paver driveways to avoid scratching the surface. For walkways, we use snow blowers and shovels rather than plows. Some minor lawn edge repair in spring is normal and covered under our seasonal cleanup service.
